OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAA couple of years ago I was a totally different person to what I am now, I hated spending time by myself. The idea of having a weekend doing nothing would terrify me because I found it so boring and frustrating having no company other than myself.  For some reason or another, I have made a complete u turn and now I am pretty much a hermit crab. I love nothing more than getting home from work, putting on my pyjamas and shutting myself off from the rest of the world for a few hours. I don't have a particularly stressful life, but on some days when my mental health is being a little shit I feel like I need to go to bed and remain in there for about a week until I feel like I'm ready to face another human. About a year or so ago my anxiety and low moods really took a turn for the worse and at one stage I found it quite hard going out or just having a conversation with someone without feeling like something was going to go wrong, thankfully, with the help of the right medication and the right people, I am out of the worst of it now. The point of this seemingly meaningless ramble is that over this period of getting back to my version of normality I learnt how important it is to balance your alone time and social time, and how important it is to just let yourself take some time to unwind.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAEver since I was little I've associated anything to do with lavender as a little signal to just chill out, I used to have trouble sleeping and used lavender oil to help with that. Teapigs sent me a package of their new(ish) Feel Good teas, which includes the tea that I want to talk about, Snooze. I'm not sure if it was the smell or the little snoozing kitty on that tag that drew me to try this one first, but whatever it was, I'm glad it did. This tea has become my go to tea to drink when I need to relax and unwind, everything about it has become associated with the feeling of being able to just chill and think that my day of work is over, the relaxing time has begun. I brewed myself a mug of this as soon as I had put my pyjamas on, as soon as the water hit the tea bag my kitchen smelt like a spa, it smelt like taking in a huge deep breath in a lavender field first thing in the morning. The taste of this tea is like a trip down memory lane for me, I'm not sure why but I found it so calming and nostalgic to sip on this. The apple adds a sweet twist to a traditional lavender and chamomile blend, which makes it more enjoyable to drink than the herbal blend on its own in my opinion. This blend has become my go to tea for when I just need a bit of time to relax, I tend to drink this only in the evening because it does make you possibly a little too relaxed (Napping on your keyboard at work is frowned upon), but everything about this tea helps bring me back to the ground after a long day.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI wholeheartedly recommend grabbing a box of this - I'm not sure if it's limited edition but either way, you should probably get some, be sure to check out the other two teas in their feel good trio.  Thank you to Teapigs for sending me this package of lovely teas!
