OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERALooking through my June rep box got me thinking, do the people at Bluebird have magic powers? How is it possible to bring out so many collections and absolutely ace every single one of them? Its has to be magic. It goes without saying that Bluebird have come out with yet another amazing collection of limited edition teas, this time it is their summer collection, which is focusing on cold brews! The collection includes 4 teas, 3 green teas and 1 rooibos, I was a bit surprised to see no fruit infusions as a lot of summer collections tend to be focused on the caffeine free infusions but I quite like that this time Bluebird have gone for mostly flavoured green teas, its a great way to get people into drinking green tea who otherwise don't like it and also to give yourself all the green tea goodness with the added bonus of it tasting amazing. I've tried each of these teas hot and cold brewed and although they are all insanely good hot, they really shine when cold brewed. To cold brew my tea I use a cold brew tea bottle which is a summer staple for me, I have a big one for home and a mini one which I leave in my office!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAGinger Beer I see a lot of youth these days describing things as "fire", according to urban dictionary this means "really good, cool as hell". This sums this tea up pretty well but not as well as saying this tea is literally tastes like fire, in a good way. Imagine the most punchy ginger flavour that you have ever tasted, add a dash of refreshing lime and a hint of sweet rooibos and you have got this amazingly refreshing blend. I love this tea hot, even though its meant as a cold brew I feel like the ginger and rooibos mix lend themselves perfectly to a hot tea.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOne In A Melon (available as loose leaf or in tea bags)I feel like Bluebird really needed a melon flavoured tea in their line up. It really is the perfect summer fruit to refresh you and keep you cool. I get a lot of strawberry taste from this tea when brewed hot, and though its pleasant to drink hot, I would definitely say that this tea is made to be cold brewed. When cold brewed you can clearly taste the sweet water melon which mixed with the smooth Sencha to create a juicy, well rounded flavour. I can see this one being a real fan favourite over the summer.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAPineapple Sorbet (available as loose leaf or in tea bags)I think this is the first pineapple flavoured tea I've ever tried which isn't meant to taste like pina colada, which I think is quite weird as pineapple on its own is so perfect for cold or iced drinks! And what a delicious tea it is! If you want a fresh, fruity iced treat then this tea is perfect. When this is cold brewed you get such a strong flavour of the pineapple followed by a little lemon twang, when brewed hot you get much more of a green tea flavour, still nice but another tea that stands out when iced.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERASummer Of Love Its really sad when you look at a tea and think that its more beautiful than you will ever be, this is exactly the case with this dazzling summer blend. If you can get past how magnificent looking this tea is and actually brew it then you are in for even more of a treat! This is unlike any tea I've drank before, it has a sencha green tea base along with bamboo leaves, chamomile & blue and red cornflowers. The taste is extremely delicate but super refreshing, definitely one to be had iced with some fizzy water and a sprig of fresh lavender.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERABluebird have also bought out some MORE cold brew tears for the summer (including the return of my fave fruit infusion, Sangria!)
