OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA"I'm trying to stay on top of my Tea Tourist posts," she said, "I will really try," she said...nope, actually I will become obsessed with Louis Theroux documentaries and I'll just watch them back to back for about 3 weeks. I have had this box sat in my to review pile since June and I actually tried all the teas ages ago, I just procrastinated writing a review! Junes box wasn't a huge stand out of a box to me, but it did have a couple of stand out teas in. If you like the sound of getting boxes full of tea sent to your front door every month then have a gander at the Tea Tourist website and you can use my code AMYLEE30 to get 30% off your first box!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAEarl Grey Blue Rose - Rutland Tea CoI will always have a soft spot for teas with cornflower petals in, I think it makes the loose leaf look so colourful and beautiful, it is partially why I was drawn to try this tea despite the addition of rose. I see the word rose on a tea packet and have an automatic assumption that I'm probably not going to like the tea, but seeing it so low in the ingredients list and seeing so many amazing other ingredients on the list, I thought I would go into it with an open mind, aside from the ingredient list, this tea smells incredible! I loved it! To me, it tastes like a fruity, amped up Earl Grey, I don't really feel like the rose is very noticeable at all which is great for me. I would 110% buy this again once I've finished drinking my sample.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAFlexibilitea - T-ToxAfter the success of the first tea I tried from this box, I thought it was best to go into this one with an open mind as well, I'll just brew it up and hope for the best! Unfortunately, this one was less of a pleasant surprise than the first. This blend tastes incredibly herbal which I actually quite liked, but for me, it was ruined by the overpowering floral notes from the jasmine. As I'm sure you know, I don't like jasmine at all, so really any tea that has jasmine as a prominent flavour is a tea that I probably won't like.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAssam Tea with Vanilla - Pure Leaf This tea is absolutely lovely, the strong black Assam gives a solid and punchy base flavour for the sweet notes to just mingle on top of. I've been loving a cup of this first thing in the morning, it really helps to kick any sweet, sugary cereal cravings while giving you the caffeine kick to get through a long morning at work - this one has also had rave reviews from my coworkers who have tried it!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMint Chocolate - Cheshire TeaNow, don't get me wrong, I did enjoy this tea BUT it was forgettable and I probably won't be buying any more of this once I've finished the sample. I have tried and have so many mint chocolate teas in my stash and I personally don't see anything that specifically makes any of them stand out to me, they're all nice, but nothing special. That being said, I would love to try some more teas from Cheshire Tea - I feel like some of their other teas would have stood out far more in this box.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERATime For Bliss - Caley's Apothecary I did enjoy this tea slightly more than I anticipated, I would say that it was still a bit too floral for my liking but the warmth from the cinnamon and the freshness of the lemon verbena gave it a really interesting twist compared to the standard rosy floral taste which I expected to get.  I'm planning on trying to make some tea infused candles soon and this will definitely be one that I use!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERARhubarb and Vanilla - Hoogly TeaI love rhubarb and I've said it before but I couldn't be happier to see more and more rhubarb blends popping up in the tea world. This one was a little different to the others I have tried, most of which have been rooibos blends, but this one combines hibiscus and green tea with vanilla flavour to make a punchy, tart drink with a sweet end taste from the vanilla and calendula petals. I really enjoyed this one and have already drunk the sample bad from this box! Thank you for reading! X
